Colonialism is a term used to describe when one nation takes control of another. The borders of African countries today were cre

ated by European nations. Often the people who drew these borders paid no attention to cultural or language groups or political organization that already existed. Sometimes they grouped people together who had never been united under the same government before. Sometimes they divided existing systems of government. These borders continued to shift as different countries took control of the land.
Which statement best describes the impact of changing borders on the people who lived there?
A.
It divided groups and tribes and resulted in ongoing conflicts.
B.
It allowed for an increases in cross-cultural exchange.
C.
It helped people of different backgrounds organize and join together.
D.
It made tribal or language differences seem less important.

Predict how you think these taxes and laws and Colonial reactions might impact the relationship between the colonists and Englan
TiliK225 [7]
Well strict taxes and laws really angered the colonists because the taxes were being used in England not in the colonies and things were becoming too expensive. Laws also angered the colonists because they felt that they should not be so restricted since they were in new territories.
