While sentences 1 till 4 all continuously talk of the generalized history and facts about the Greek God Pan and has nothing related with the childhood character of Peter Pan. So, the only possibility of adding the quotation will be after sentence 4. Also, sentence 4 starts talking about the influence of Pan on art and literature, where Peter Pan can join in.
