erica [24]
“Art is a form of communication. A form of beauty, it has a rawness and purity. Art is home to a fast paced community. Artists are never slowing down. In the Twentieth Century, diffident art forms were popular throughout. Today, I will be talking about symbolism. Symbolism first came around in the 1880s, it developed from the French Literary Movement. Symbolism is used to express a time, message, or even a person. A popular symbolism painting is “Jupiter and Semele” by Gustave Moreau, made in 1895. This painting symbolizes the popular myth of Jupiter and Semele’s love for one another. It shows dark and rich colors, pops of color and contrasts. You probably wouldn’t understand the message when looking directly at this particular painting, but one thing is clear. The darkness it symbolizes. The dark colors of blue and hues of red are a clear sign of anger, sadness, despair, and war. Which is actually what is happening here. This love story is a united story that ends in death.
Art is becoming more and more bland. It’s minimal, the same, or copied. Till the funeral bells for all that Art is worth, but we can change how art is seen. Art is a way to vent, and is associated with tragedy. When you search the phrase “why are artists so-“ the results are sad, crazy, and poor. Why is that? Because art once was what we call “psychoanalysts art” it could show depression, despair, and heartbreak. For a while that’s all it was. We can all make an effort to change the way art is seen, the way art is perceived, the way art is made. We don’t need to toll the funeral bells of art, we can burn them.” All words are original and by me. I permit you to use them, and I hope this is what you wanted. Please add and personalize!
