Civics are personal duties every citizen must do, but not by law you not doing these duties just deems you to be non - patriotic.  Some examples are picking up trash donating to charity or to a local park, but some civic duties you d have to do are paying your taxes.  Also civil disobedience is boycotting peaceful protests or rioting.  Boycotting involves the masses not paying their taxes or trying to shut down a federal or non federal company by not buying their product.
