Answer:

$451.50

Step-by-step explanation:

FIRST FIND OUT THE TOTAL SQUARE YARDS. THERE ARE 3 FEET IN ONE YARD, SO 15/3=5. THE ROOM IN 4.3X5 YARDS 0R 21.5 SQUARE YARDS. THEN MULTIPLY THE SQUARE YARDS BY PRICE PER YARD: 21.5 X 21 = 451.5

I need some help with this. <br> It'd be nice if I got some :) Thanks
Effectus [21]
Well, as you know, the X axis runs horizontally (just think horizon, and you got it)
And the Y axis runs vertically, up and down.
A Pre-image over the Y axis means it would have to be on the left or the right of the chart, not on the top or bottom.
This means both the first choice AND the third choice shown are out.
The second choice is correct

To find perimeter you must add all the side lengths together:

P = AB + BC + AC

The side lengths AC and BC are easy to find. You must simply count how many units they span. Please refer to the image below to see how I did this.

To find the length of AB is a bit trickier. Since the trianlge shown is a right trianlge you may use pythagorean theorem

a^{2} +b^{2}=c^{2}

a and b are the legs (the sides that form a perpendicular/right angle)

c is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle)

In this case...

a = 6

b = 7

^^^Plug these numbers into the theorem

6^{2} + 7^{2} = c^{2}

solve for c

36 + 49 = c^{2}

c^{2} = 85

c ≈ 9.219

c ≈ 9.2 units

Hope this helped! Let me know if you have any further questions!
