I believe the answer is: Whitefield had a powerful, passionate style, while Edwards spoke to his parishioners calmly and quietly.

With his style, Jonathan edwards put more emphasis on the beauty, harmony, and ethical fittingness, that exist in Christian Religion. George whitefield on the other hand, put more emphasis on struggle, battles and sacrifices that christian people should made to survive in the sinful world.

Their styles were similar. Both preacher helped spread the Great Awakening.

They were powerful preachers. George Whitfield had charisma and an extremely loud voice that could be hear for miles. His style of preaching elicited emotional responses.

Jonathan Edward's style of preaching was more conservative and convicting than George Whitfield's.
