The Renaissance Period (1550-1620)

Further explanation

The Renaissance period or commonly referred to as the Elizabethan or enlightenment period was a period in which British people came out of the dark ages (dark ages) where the thought of the people in Padasa was very limited only to the region or country where they lived and culture was very bound by the rules made by the church. The Renaissance period in literary works first took place in Italy on Greek and Roman relics where they revived schools based on classical studies and philosophy and then extended to Western Europe brought by people from Arabia. This incident emphasizes that people from Greece and Rome are educated, cultured and creative societies so that awareness of this will restore the enthusiasm of people to develop themselves as human beings.

During this enlightenment, literary works developed rapidly triggered by Queen Elizabeth who also loved music, dance, and everything that smelled of art, including literary works. Literary works that are developing rapidly at this time are types of drama because drama is considered as a combination of thoughts, feelings, and deeds in one work. Famous writers in the field of drama include great writers such as Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare, and Ben Jonson. Marlowe is a very large playwright who was born before Shakespeare and his most famous work is "Faustus". Then came Shakespeare who perfected Marlowe's works which were still considered to have some shortcomings. Shakespeare himself is very famous for some of his first plays that were staged such as "Hamlet" and "Machbet". After that Ben Jonson was present to add a row of great British playwright with his famous work "Every man in his humor".
