To rule out damage at the level of the gonads, the doctors perform further analysis and discover that his testes are healthy. In light of this result, the doctors turn their attention to the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland. After running a few more tests, the doctors find that the hypothalamus has not been damaged. The early signs/symptoms for fifth's disease include :  a low fever accompanied by a sore throat, headache, a very stuffed and/or runny nose, along with fatigue..  You may also eventually get a rash.  You're only contagious at the start of the sickness, it can last anywhere between 4 - 12 days.
