Steve has suffered a traumatic brain injury. To determine the damage that has been done to his brain, a team of doctors run seve

ral different tests. One of the results of these tests indicates that Steve has lost the ability to produce and mature sperm. To rule out damage at the level of the gonads, the doctors perform further analysis and discover that his testes are healthy. In light of this result, the doctors turn their attention to the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland. After running a few more tests, the doctors find that the hypothalamus has not been damaged.
