Answer:
The Great Tree was not allowed to be damaged or cut for it is the source/ producer of various fruits and leaves and also is the intermediary between the divine and human aspects of the world.
This is similar to the tree in the Garden of Eden in that they both act as the link or threshold between God and man, and their mutilation or destruction will mean that the cord/ relationship between the two will be broken.
Explanation:
According to the myth in "The World on Turtle's Back", the Great Tree represents the major source of life for the people. It contains different kinds of fruits and was the main source of food for the people.
Likewise, the tree in the Garden of Eden in the Biblical book of Genesis also acts as the main tree, producing the fruit of good and evil. It was this very fruit that God warned Adam and Eve to stay away from.
And both trees were not allowed to be mutilated or cut down. They are the source of life, the intermediary between what is divine and human. And so, their mutilation will mean a broken relationship/ connection between God and man.
The reasons for supporting anti-Semitism have reached their culmination in Nazi Germany, but it should be emphasized that amtti Semitism will be rooted in Europe much earlier. It was not unusual that the Jews were accused of deliberately causing the plague in Europe by poisoning the wells with water, killing Christian children for their rituals, deliberately engaging in the business of issuing large-interest loans and thus earning a lot of money and destroying Christian families. All these reasons are at the level of myths and legends, because whoever knows something about the Old Testament will find that the Jews live the exact opposite. Yet, no people had survived, they were expelled from their country for nearly 2,000 years. They were persecuted in imperial Russia and across Europe during the wars of the Crusades, under the absurd accusation that the Jews were guilty of the death of Jesus Christ. All these ideas were sublimated and a fatal ideology and Nazi Germany were created, where Jews were blamed for the disastrous state of the German economy, although in those years the recession was everywhere. Hitler used this to gain popularity of the Nazi Party, saying that Jews with their interest and banking mentality completely destroyed Germany. Even for propaganda purposes, a film was made in those years, where the Jews were portrayed as rats running around and devouring everything in front of them.
Jews are smart people who know how to deal with trade and other jobs, through generations, appreciating it as a family heritage and tradition, but not the way it was presented in Nazi Germany or in Europe before. Another example of how Britain has delayed the vote in parliament to constitute the state of Israel, because if there had not been UN decision on it, Britain would probably prolong the issue indefinitely. Such are the roots of hatred towards the Jews.
