The genotype is X^BX^b : X^bX^b : X^BY : X^bY ( Calico : Black : Black : orange )

The phenotype is 1 : 2 : 1 ( Calico : Black : orange )

Explanation:

Fur color is a co-dominant sex linked trait in cats.

The gene for fur color is present in the X-chromosome.

Males have 1 X chromosome and thus, they will have only 1 allele for the fur colour.

Females have 2 X chromosome and thus, they will have 2 alleles for the fur colour.

Considering, Orange fur color being the dominant trait and black color be the recessive one.

Male black cat = XᵇY

Female Calico cat = XBXᵇ

The cross performed is shown in the table attached:

According to the cross:

The genotype is X^BX^b : X^bX^b : X^BY : X^bY ( Calico : Black : Black : orange )

The phenotype is 1 : 2 : 1 ( Calico : Black : orange )

*In this form of Respiration gases are exchanged

*it can be easily found in the cytoplasm and mitochondria

*glucose breaks down into carbon dioxide and water

*all higher organisms such as mammals have this type of respiration.

Anaerobic Respiration

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! THIS IS DUE FOR A GRADE!!!
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

3/4

Explanation:

I was confused at first but after reading it more carefully, I realized that it was talking about phenotype when it said "would show" which meant physically.

Knowing this, now if you put the information in a Phenotype Punnett Square (you can find Punnett Square calculators to help you online) it comes out to 12:4. if you reduce it, it comes to 3/4.

Hope this helps!

5. Describe the ways in which the size of a fish population in an aquarium could be
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

If the pH of the water was too high or low, if the temperature was too hot or cold, or even the climate in which is provided to them inside of the tank can abiotically effect the population of the tank.

Explanation:

This is because of their natural abilities and capabilities. For reference: Many people like different temperatures whether they want to or not its a preference and if they were to change their location in which it has a new climate it would effect the way that they do things. Such as, a change in clothing.. But fish do not have clothes. Therefore it is unfortunate that some of their population does die naturally even in the wild do to this.
