A summary refers to the account or statement of the events occurred by not including needless information, also referred to as the condensed form of the text. It depends upon the length of the work that summary is written in long paragraphs or in few paragraphs. A summary includes the central idea or the key which gives an overall sense of the text. Further, a summary is written to mention the main points and eradicate the needless information. Lastly, a summary is written in the logical order as per the text as the name of the people and places in the text can't be ignored when writing own opinions.
