Answer:

Hello, Your answer will be C) Wreck

Explanation:

As a noun, 'decay' is the state of gradual damage or decline in strength, soundness, or prosperity, that is to say, of becoming worse. Similar to the noun 'wreck' that is the state of being damaged, disabled, in ruin or dilapidation.

The other words do not support the meaning of 'decay', because 'colossal' refers to something extremely big, 'bare' is something/someone without any clothes or not covered by anything, and 'round' is something shaped like a ball or circle, or curved. Have a Great Day!

1. Explain five historical precedents that caused the colonists to want to
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

1. Stamp Act of 1765

2. Townshend Act of 1767

3. Boston Massacre

4. Tea Act of 1773

5. Boston Tea party

Explanation:

1. Stamp Act of 1765: In order to recover from the financial strain encountered by the Royal government due to their Seven Years War with France, the British government instituted this act. Colonists were hereby required to pay taxes on all official documents including newspapers and magazines which had the stamp of the British government.

2. Townshend Act of 1767: These were acts proposed by Charles Townshend to the British government so as to boost the British economy. Examples are the New York Restraining Act and the Indemnity Act.

3. Boston Massacre: Resistance to the Townshend Act led the colonists to protest against the British troop in Boston. This resulted in the Boston massacre where five people were killed and many others wounded.

4. Tea Act of 1773: This was an act made by the British government to make their own tea the only one to be purchased in the colonist's territories thus banning their tea trade with other countries.

5. Boston Tea Party: In response to the Tea Act, a group of colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians, entered a British vessel carrying tea and threw more than 300 boxes of tea into the sea.

The events listed above wetted the ground for a revolution.
