For a hypothesis comparing two population means, h0: μ1 ≤ μ2, what is the critical value for a one-tailed hypothesis test, using

a 5% significance level, with both sample sizes equal to 13? assume the population standard deviations are equal. g

We know about hypothesis that,

H0:- µ1 ≤ µ2 VS Ha :- µ1 > µ2.

Note :- If Ha has > sign then test is Right tailed (one tailed ).

If Ha has < sign then test is left tailed (one tailed )

If Ha has ≠ sign then we say that the test is two tailed.

Therefore the test is right tailed test.

Given :- both sample sizes equal to 13. That is, n1 = 13 and n2 = 13.

Note :-

If sample size n > 30 OR Population standard deviation σ is given then We use Z test.

If sample size n < 30 AND Population standard deviation σ is unknown then we use t test.

Both sample sizes are 13 which are less than 30 so we use t test.

Given :- Assume the population standard deviations are equal ( σ1 = σ2 ).

Degrees of Freedom = n1 + n2 - 2 = 13 + 13 -2 = 24.

Level of signficance = α = 0.05.

By using the t table attached here , Look for the corresponding t critical value for df = 24 and α = 0.05 in one tailed area.

t critical = 1.711.

The sum of two numbers is 52. One number is 3 times as large as the other. What are the numbers?
Gwar [14]

Answer:

13 and 39

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of two numbers = 52

One number is 3 times as large as the other

Equation:

x + 3x = 52

4x = 52

52 / 4 = x

x = 13

13 * 3 = 39

The numbers are 13 and 39

What is 2x-4. I really don’t understand
ddd [48]

Answer:

2 * -4 = -8

Step-by-step explanation:

2 * -4 = -8

It is just like multiplying two numbers like... 2 * 4 = 8

You must need to know that:

+a * -b = -c

-a * -b = +c

+a * +b = +c

In your question;

+a * -b = -c

a = 2

b = -4

c = -8

therefore:

2 * -4 = -8

G varies inversely with the square
vivado [14]

Answer:;4.4

Step-by-step explanation: Since it varies inversely we know G times H squared is equal to some constant, k. So we have G*H*H=k. We are told that when H=4, G=.25. Plugging this in, we have .25*4*4=k. This simplifies to 4=k. Our new equation is G*H*H=4. Now, we want to solve for G when H=.3. We plug it in. G*.3*.3=4 => G*.09=4. G=4/.09. This means G is approximately 44.4.

How to find y in angle sum theorem
Svetach [21]

Answer:

y = 90°

Step-by-step explanation:

  • 110° is the measure of exterior angle of bigger triangle.

  • -> (x + x) + 70° = 110° (By exterior angle theorem)

  • -> 2x = 110° - 70°

  • -> 2x = 40°

  • -> x = 40°/2

  • -> x = 20°

  • y is the measure of exterior angle of smaller triangle.

  • -> y = x + 70° (By exterior angle theorem)

  • -> y = 20° + 70°

  • -> y = 90°

The vertices of △ DEF are D (2, 5), E (6, 3), and F (4, 0). Translate △ DEF using the given vector. Graph △ DEF and its image. T
jeyben [28]

Answer:

The image coordinates are D'(8, 5), E'(12, 3) and F'(10,0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the vertices of △ DEF are D (2, 5), E (6, 3), and F (4, 0). We have to translate the triangle using the vector (6, 0)

Now, translation by vector (6, 0)

D (2, 5)=D'(2+6, 5+0)=D'(8, 5)

E (6, 3)=E'(6+6, 3+0)=E'(12, 3)

F (4, 0)=F'(4+6, 0+0)=F'(10,0)

Now, we have to label the coordinate of the triangle or to get image of triangle after translation.

Hence, The image coordinates are D'(8, 5), E'(12, 3) and F'(10,0)
