Why is it important to think freely and have your own thoughts?

It is very important to be able to think freely and have your own thoughts because if one did not, one would not be able to make their own choices and fulfill their own desires. There would never be change and if one is in a bad situation, nothing will get better. Also, in another situation were someone is doing something bad, the person will continue to do these bad things and nothing good will happen or change.
