What is the surface area of this wedge ?
Bess [88]

Answer: 84 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The whole prism can be divided into 5 surfaces.

Two triangles and 3 rectangles.

Find the area of each of the 5 shapes and add them together.

The triangle has a base of 4 and a height of 3.

Area of triangle 1:    A= 4*3 * 1/2

                               A = 6

Area of triangle 2:     A = 4*3 * 1/2

                                   A = 6

Area of rectangle 1 :   A= 4*6

                                    A = 24

Area of rectangle 2;   A = 3*6

                                     A = 18

Area of rectangle 3:    A= 5 *6

                                      A = 30

Now add the areas together

    6 + 6 + 24 + 18 + 30 + =  84 ft^2

I need help fast! Answer and explanation please! (see attachment) Solve for x, show your work.
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

x = -5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

3 ^ ( 4x-5) = (1/27) ^( 2x+10)

Rewriting 1/27 as 3^-3

3 ^ ( 4x-5) = (3^-3) ^( 2x+10)

We know that a^b^x = a^(b*c)

3 ^ ( 4x-5) = (3) ^(-3*( 2x+10))

3 ^ ( 4x-5) = (3) ^( -6x-30)

The bases are the same so the exponents are the same

4x-5 = -6x-30

Add 6x to each side

10x -5 = -30

Add 5 to each side

10x -5+5 = -30+5

10x = -25

Divide each side by 10

10x/10 = -25/10

x = -5/2

I NEED HELP PLEASE ASAP! :)
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

( About ) 1,099 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

The force required to keep this truck from rolling down the hill is opposed by the force of friction, comparative to the 2600 pounds of force against this friction. It should be that this opposing force is at work more towards the bottom of this hill, and thus the question asks the magnitude of latter force to keep this truck idle -

|| F || = sin( 25 ) * ( Fg ) = sin( 25 ) * ( 2600 lb ) = ( About ) 1098.80748 pounds

This can be rounded to a solution of 1099 pounds
