<u>Ans(a):</u>

Given that total distance = 1158 km

Estimated time of drive = 12

now question says to distance that can be driven in 1 hour.

Indirectly it is asking for his speed.

So we can use formula of speed

Speed = \frac{distance}{time}=\frac{1158}{12}=96.5 km per hour.

Hence he will drive approx 96.5 km in 1 hour.

<u>Ans(b):</u>

Actual driven distance = 484 km

Actual time taken = 5 hours

Then actual speed = \frac{484}{5}= 96.8 km per hour

Comparing speeds in both parts, we see that actual speed 96.8 km/hour is more than the expected speed 96.5 km/hour.

Hence he will reach at his destination on schedule or before the expected time.

Given f(x) = 4x4 + 5x3 – 15x2 – 45, find f(–3).
poizon [28]

Answer:

C)

f(–3) = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given f(x) = 4x^4 + 5x^3 – 15x^2 – 45

f(-3) means let x = -3

f(-3) = 4(-3)^4 +5(-3)^3 – 15(-3)^2 – 45

       =4(81) +5(-27) -15(9) -45

        = 324 - 135 - 135 -45

           =9

Alicia is writing the program for a video game.
IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

(-11,-4) and (-5,-7)

Step-by-step explanation:

the rule (x,y)→(x−7,y+2) means the x-value of the coordinate decreases by 7, and the y-value of the coordinate increases by two.

Apply the rule to the 1st question by plugging in the coordinates:

(x,y)→(x−7,y+2)

(−4,−6)→((-4)−7,(-6)+2)

(−4,−6)→(-11,-4)

Let's use the same process for the 2nd question:

(x,y)→(x−7,y+2)

(2,−9)→((2)−7,(-9)+2)

(2,−9)→(-5,-7)
