I have a question - I'm not from US :D What does "simmted" mean? Have you ever heard this word?

The word simted doesnt exist maybe they meant to reduce in volume by simmering. Slang.to become calm or quiet, as from a state of anger or turmoil: We waited for the audience to simmer down.
