For yoga you need a mat and athletic clothes, you can do it alone, you can watch a video, in which case you may have to pay for the video, you would likely have to pay for a class if you were to go to one. You can bring other things like water bottle or extras like yoga block or ball, but I don’t feel these are necessary.

Ice hockey you would need protection (helmet, shoulder pads/chest protector, protective gloves, padded shorts, shin pads, neck guard), I would imagine you would need a hockey stick and puck, you would need ice so you may need to pay to get into an ice rink.

For ice skating you would want to dress warm because ice is necessary. I assume you’d already have warm clothes though so the only thing you would need to get is ice skates. You may have to pay admission to a rink.

For bowling you would need to have the proper shoes and you would need a bowling ball. You would need to go somewhere for this and would likely need to pay admission to a bowling alley. It is common for bowling alleys to have house balls for your use and rentable bowling shoes at their location.

I am not sure how much any of this costs, but looking at it, if you were to be paying for it all yourself and not using equipment from a team, hockey would be most expensive because of all the protection needed. If you are renting the equipment once, likely bowling or ice skating would be least expensive, however if you are doing yoga yourself, and not paying for an instructor or class, just paying for athletic clothes and a mat would be less expensive then paying for skates or a ball and shoes and an annual fee to an ice rink or bowling alley

“What are vaccines and how do they work?”
mafiozo [28]

The goal of vaccines is to greatly reduce the complications caused by childhood diseases. Although some diseases might be good for us to catch and leave us stronger, others cause more harm than good and leave us weaker. Vaccines prepare our bodies to fight against harmful diseases that we are likely to encounter in the world.

To understand how vaccines work, imagine that your immune system is a dictionary. For every substance that your body encounters, the immune system records a definition and an action. The definition is the description of the substance. The action tells the body what to do with the substance, like absorb it or attack it.

But, before your body knows what to do with something, it must identify the substance first. The way your body identifies something is based on the shapes found on the surface of that thing. These shapes are called antigens—physical characteristics of an object that the immune system can recognize. Vaccines help your body identify what infections look like so that the immune system can use its natural defenses to treat them.

For example, imagine a child eating a strawberry. It is important that the immune system has identified the strawberry as food and absorbs it. Now imagine a child who catches a cold. It is important that the immune system has identified the cold as harmful and attacks it. Vaccines don’t change how your body acts when it encounters something; they just help your body identify what it encountered.

Vaccines teach our immune systems to fight diseases that otherwise would take them too long to recognize as harmful.
