The saying “opposites attract” really plays a part in the story, Jordyn is more of a active and outdoors person and Mariah is more of a sit inside and read a book. This really shows when Mariah references a harry potter book and Jordyn doesn't get it. So by the end of the story they become really good friends and hope to see eachother again.
