Answer:

George Bush

Explanation:

"Read My Lips: No New Taxes!"

At the 1988 Republican National Convention, George H.W. Bush adamantly spoke these words to the American public. In an effort to reduce the Federal deficit, the Democratic-controlled Congress pushed hard for tax increases. Eventually, President Bush gave in to their demands and raised taxes. The declaration came back to haunt him during the 1992 presidential election as his opponent, Bill Clinton, made reference to it a number of times.

I hope this helps!! :)

adoni [48]

The answer is regressive tax. Example: sales tax. With this tax the rate is the same rate for everyone, no matter their income. The only thing that changes is the percent of your income you pay. Someone who makes less money will pay a higher percentage of their income than someone who makes more money.

What was the social structure in Tokugawa Japan? Explain the role of family in Tokugawa Japan.
NNADVOKAT [17]
There was a four tier system.
1) samurai: wielded enormous power
2)farmer/ peasant: produced all the food
3)artisan: produced necessary goods (clothes, ect.)
4( lowest class): merchants: traders, shopkeepers
shogun, buddist & shino priest were above all of the classes.
The family name was important as the Tokugawa Clan ruled Japan for a while. The family rank was important. If you're born in a family of low rank, you can expect not being able to get a high rank position. <span />
