  People migrate to the sunbelt in order to get better economic opportunities. The advance on air conditioning systems created more comfortable conditions for industries to locate there.

Explanation:

  The Sunbelt is a region of the United States, it comprises the South and Southwest states, within the region desert/semidesert, tropical, humid subtropical, and Mediterranean climates can be found.

  Since the 1950s the region´s population began to grow, the people wanted to move to warmer and sunny places. And as the industries move there too they created an economic opportunity for development.

A lot of people migrated to the Sun Belt during the 1950s because during this time, the political and economic distinction changed from the Midwest and Northeast toward the South and West. Warmer climate, and a boom in agriculture’s industry were some factors that allowed this migration to happen.
