a surplus of memberships (plenty of memberships available but not enough customers), and by how many memberships?

The answer depends on a crucial information that it is not provided, the purchasing power of those potential customers, but it still it is possible to reason how the demand and supply of membership would work.

  • Surplus of memberships would take place when in the gym market there is a shortage of demand.  This situation occurs when there are less customers willing to purchase the product at 45$ than the number of memberships that are available. To claim if this is the case in the example we would need to know the structure of the demand function in this market.
  • Shortage of memberships takes place when in the gym market there is a excess of demand. The price is afforded by a number of customers which exceeds the amount of memberships available. Therefore, some rationing mechanism would be necessary to fix who will get the membership and who will not. Again, it would be necessary to know who the demand function works.

Explain the causes and effects of the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears.
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

Cause: There was also some argument that the Native Americans may raid nearby plantations, causing many of the farmers to protest their presence. Eventually, president Andrew Jackson, decided to pass the Indian removal acts in 1830, which allowed him to move the Indians west. Since Andrew Jackson had grown up on a plantation where Indian raids were common, he had a negative view of them, saying that "they are inferior to whites". The president had very little problem with sending them away, and in 1838 put the trail of tears into action.

Effect: One major effect is that the Native American population severely decreased. While on the Trail of Tears, many Native Americans endured hypothermia, starvation, and sickness. More than 4,000 natives died due to these conditions, leaving the Native American population hanging by a thread. The other major effect is that since there was only a handful of Indians that survived the horrible journey, the culture quickly became, and still is today, on the verge of extinction.

Summarize why immigration is an important issue in the United States. Include how immigrants can become citizens.
Annette [7]
Immigration is an important issue in the United States because immigrants have been taking citizens jobs which has started a political war on social media because of the fact that irs has been splitting families apart and because a huge racism rise had been occurring because people aren’t sensitive to the topic when they are passionate about their beliefs. Immigrants become citizens through a process of having a purpose to be <span>here, asking permission, taking a test, awaiting a very long time to gain citizenship.</span>

The issue that led to jimmy carter's defeat in 1980 was
irinina [24]
Well, first of all, many issues led to his defeat. I would say if you're asking for specifics, some answers to this particular question would be c, d or b, because e didn't happen until Clinton, and a was President Ford. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. You will have to figure it out on your own, or better yet email your teacher.
