-Homeostasis is the ability of the body or a cell to seek and maintain a condition of equilibrium or stability within its internal environment when dealing with external changes.

-To maintain homeostasis, unicellular organisms grow, respond to the environment, transform energy, and reproduce. A single-celled, or unicellular, organism does everything you would expect a living thing to do. Therefore, if a unicellular or a single celled organisms that can not maintain homeostasis would die, as it cant grow, respond to the environment or reproduce.
