What was a basic difference in the beliefs of the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans
hoa [83]
The main difference between these two parties was just who would have more power, the national or the state governments.

The Federalists as the name itself implies were those who supported the stronger federal government as they believed that if the states had more power the country would be weaker and would not be able to address the issue that would impact the whole nation quickly and efficiently.

The Democratic-Republicans on the other hand, again as their name implies, were more in favor of stronger state governments as they believed and feared that a strong federal government could lead to the loss of freedom they so desperately fought for.

What were the economic, social, and political causes of the War of 1812, and how did the outcome of the war advance America’s id
vekshin1
The immediate causes of the war were economic sanctions that were taken by the British and French and used against the United States. Farmers wanted to expand west for more land, Britain was supplying the natives with weapons to keep America from expanding, and acts like the Embargo Act, Macon’s Bill and the Non-Intercourse Act were put into place. The outcome of the war advanced America’s identity by severing all ties with the UK and filled the country with national pride.
