The Iron Curtain was the name for the boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas from the end of World War II in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The term symbolizes the efforts by the Soviet Union to block itself and its satellite states from open contact with the West and non-Soviet-controlled areas.

Would you call today's world of computers, smart phones, and social media a renaissance? Why or why not?
maw [93]

<u>Renaissance definition:</u>

  1. <em>"the revival of art and literature under the influence of classical models in the 14th–16th centuries"</em>
  2. <em>"a revival of or renewed interest in something renaissance.</em>

I would not call the tech of today a renaissance because the renaissance was something ancient from about 60 centuries before we were born and I believe that simply thinking that technology or iPhones or an iPad could be called a reaissance, is an insult to the people of the Middle Ages.

Which of these help develop tails as they approach the sun
NeTakaya

Answer:

a comet

Explanation:

When far from the sun, a comet is like a stone rolling around the universe. But when it approaches the sun, the heat evaporates the comet's gases, causing it to emit dust and microparticles (electrons and ions). These materials form a tail whose flow is affected by the sun's radiation pressure.
