Answer:The Things They Carried (1990) is a collection of linked short stories by American novelist Tim O'Brien, about a platoon of American soldiers fighting on the ground in the Vietnam War. His third book about the war, it is based upon his experiences as a soldier in the 23rd Infantry Division.

Explanation:

Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried is a ground-breaking meditation on war, memory, imagination, and the redemptive power of storytelling. ... Because these stories are removed from the daily realities of the war, they tend to be more accessible to O'Brien's audience.

Alik [6]

Answer and Explanation:

The author built the article showing the strategies that Obama used in his speech to reduce his disadvantages during the presidential campaign. The speech's author shows that in addition to being a good orator, Obama was also a great writer who knew words and rhetorical and literary traits very well, being able to efficiently use allusions, resonance, duality and a strong content of ethos and pathos. .

What does the scene in the throne room tell you about each of the three friends - Annabeth, Grover and Percy? Support your answe
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

If this is for Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief chapter 19, "We Find Out the Truth, Sort of," when they are in Hades thrown room then this scene shows that the friends are willing to sacrifice for each other for the happiness and safety of the others. This also shows the trust that the friends have for one another. Percy had been accused of taking the master bolt, and when it was found in his backpack, both Annabeth and Grover knew and trusted Percy enough to know that he had not taken it. Towards the end of the chapter Percy leaves his mom behind in the underworld with Hades. Both Annabeth and Grover try to persuade Percy to let them stay in the underworld so Percy can have his mom, but Percy declines and takes Annabeth and Grover with him back to the surface.

svp [43]

The phrase "when the night had veiled the pole" could accurately mean that a veiled cloud cover makes the night very dark.

What When the night had veiled the pole means?

The figurative language used by the author is a personification because the night cannot physically veil a pole.

When the phrase is observed, It seems that the speaker is blaming his foe or calling him a thief and its happens when it was super-dark out.

Therefore, the Option A is correct.
