Answer:

True

Explanation:

The Ottoman Empire was a Turkish empire that conquered Istanbul in 1453, thus putting an end to the Byzantine Empire. The Ottomans expanded throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe encompassing the regions around the Black Sea, Dardenelles, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Caspian Sea until its fall in 1919. Therefore, the Ottoman Empire was a real threat to Western European powers for five centuries. The Turkish troops tried to invade central Europe, which failed in 1529 after the Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent did not succeed in its attempt during the Siege of Vienna in Austria. For the following centuries, the Ottoman empire was a political and military rival of European powers.

How did senator Joseph McCarthy investigate domestic comunism
Vinil7 [7]
Ok, there is a lot for McCarthy. Since he was a Senator, form the late 1940's to the mid 1950's he went on a hunt for communists in the gov and in public life. He mostly did this because he wanted to ensure his political success. So during this time was the "Red Scare" aka when Americans were afraid of communism, so when he claimed he had a list of 205 communists the public went crazy and supported his crusade.
