Sub:- Misuse of Mobile phones.

Respected Sir

I am trying to draw your attention towards a community where mobile phones are becoming a wide range of fancy items. Nowadays mobile phones are not used for necessary needs but they are misused

I am very concerned about the misuse of the mobile phones by youngsters and kids. The mobiles can cause many brain deseases and heart problems. Talking on the mobile phone for a long time can cause problems to the ear drum of kids. The little gadget is taking the earth by a storm. The kids keep playing on the mobile phones which distracts their attention.

In schools, students misuse the mobile by recording the lectures, taking photos of notes. Morever, children are like wet cement and whatever falls on them makes an inspression. Some people say that the parents should not buy the mobile phones for the children. But it is better to build strong children rather than repairing their parents.

I hope you will consider my leeter as an influencing one and publish it in your newspaper.

Your faithfully

Your name.

Why are Abraham Lincoln’s features exaggerated in this cartoon? to point out his imperfections to enhance the cartoon’s comment
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

B). To enhance the cartoon's comment or message.

Explanation:

Cartoons are the visual method to demonstrate or pinpoint a particular idea or message about a particular subject. In the given cartoon, the features of Abraham Lincoln are exaggerated to 'enhance the cartoon's comment or message'. The features are often overstated or amplified to mirror a particular message to the audience. In the given cartoon, Lincoln's features are inflated with a motive to inculcate a particular idea into the minds of the audience through visual representation. Thus, <u>option B</u> is the answer.

mamaluj [8]

Answer: The correct sentence is;

'<em>'Before 8 a.m., traffic is light; however, at 5 p.m., Fred always wishes that he drove a bulldozer to push other cars out of his way.''</em>

Explanation:

There should be a semicolon after the word light because this joins the two contrasting clauses (one where traffic is light and the other inferring heavy traffic).

The conjunctive adverb, <em>''however'' </em>is properly used in the sentence to link the two independent clauses.
