Answer:

1. Tú te despiertas tarde

2. Nosotros nos despertamos tarde

3. Benito se despierta tarde

4. Yo me despierto tarde

5. Yo me pongo una chaqueta

6. Usted se pone una chaqueta

7. Nosotros nos ponemos una chaqueta

8. Las niñas se ponen una chaqueta

Explanation:

In spanish, reflexive verbs are those that indicates that the action (represented by the verb) is done and suffered by the same person. For example: when I say “Yo me peino” (I comb my hair) I am the person who is doing and receiving the effect of the action “comb”; this also occurs in “Me bañé ayer” (I took a shower yesterday) because I did the action and receive it at the same time. Syntactically we need to add a reflexive pronoun to the sentence, these are:

YO- ME

TÚ- TE

ÉL/ELLA – SE

NOSOTROS – NOS

USTEDES- SE

ELLOS – SE

Now, we are answering your exercise, put special attention on the reflexive pronoun and where do I add it to the sentence. Remember that all these verbs are in present!:

1. Tú te despiertas tarde

2. Nosotros nos despertamos tarde

3. Benito se despierta tarde

4. Yo me despierto tarde

5. Yo me pongo una chaqueta

6. Usted se pone una chaqueta

7. Nosotros nos ponemos una chaqueta

8. Las niñas se ponen una chaqueta
