In chapter 24, Scout participates in Aunt Alexandra´s missionary circle where she listens to Mrs. Merriweather´s display of prejudice towards foreign cultures and also criticizes indirectly Atticus<em> </em>for defending Tom. Scout realizes that Merriweather´s views of Atticus are to be considered hypocritical, taking in account that the missionary circle is being held at Atticus´ home.
