Ted was digging out weeds in his backyard when his shovel hit something small and hard. Ted pulled away the dirt with his finger

the shine of metal in the earth. Beside himself with amazement. Ted pulled an old gold coin from the ground. Noticing that Ted had stopped
digging Jenny came over to see what Ted was doing. Ted was worried that jenny was still upset with him. They had had an argument earlier that
morning on the way from Jenny's house through the vacant lot and Ted felt bad because it had all been a misunderstanding. He was worried that
he had insulted his friend Jenny and hurt her feelings. The two friends stood looking at the gold piece in Ted's hand while Ted wondered who would
be the first to speak
