English

I think it is rather to burn, melt or boil!!
It depends on the sentence too!! For example if you are saying: Bruuuuh, its to cold, I'm freezing; Then you can say: Its too hot, I'm burning.
According to my chemistry class, freezing happen when the matter change its form, from liquid to solid; Meanwhile melting happen when the matter change its form, from solid to liquid.

A 1500-kg automobile is travelling at a velocity of 120m/s. How much kinetic energy does it possess?
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The kinetic energy is 10.8MJ or  108 * 10^{5} Joules

Explanation:

Kinetic energy can be defined as an energy possessed by an object or body due to its motion.

Mathematically, kinetic energy is given by the formula;

K.E = \frac{1}{2}MV^{2}

Where, K.E represents kinetic energy measured in Joules.

M represents mass measured in kilograms.

V represents velocity measured in metres per seconds square.

Given the following data;

Mass of automobile = 1,500kg

Velocity = 120

K.E = \frac{1}{2}MV^{2}

Substituting into the equation, we have;

K.E = \frac{1}{2}*1500*120^{2}

K.E = \frac{1}{2}*1500*14400

K.E = 750*14400

K.E = 10,800000 Joules or 10.8MJ

Note: MJ is Megajoule

<em>Therefore, the kinetic energy possessed by the automobile is 10.8MJ or  </em>108 * 10^{5} Joules<em> </em>
