Low frequency for a downward pattern
Eighth notes are in quarter notes; quarter notes make up whole notes. Therefore, you cannot have a whole note without quarter notes, and there will always be eighth notes in quarter notes and: (answer:) WHOLE NOTES. :)

In the “Slaughterhouse-Five” Kurt Vonnegut uses
lines from a Christmas carol “Away in Manage” as his epigraph:
“The cattle are lowing,
The Baby awakes.
But the little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes.”
This epigraph is usually considered for a reference for
Billy Pilgrim (or Vonnegut himself) as he saw horrible things, but complained
very little.
