Answer:

In Qing China a series of changes occurred that weakened its power and ultimately lead to its downfall. This included corruption and ruler incompetence, population growth and peasant unrest. Also there were food shortages and widespread famine.

Explanation:

Although the imperial system in China had lasted more than 2,000 years, Chinese imperial power came to an end under the Qing dynasty in 1911-1912. There were a series of conflicts such as the Boxer Rebellion of 1899–1901 and Wuchang Uprising of 1911–1912 that also led to the regime's demise. Qing rule gradually collapsed during the second half of the 19th century due to a complicated interplay between internal and external factors including population growth that arose with technological advances in agriculture. By 1900 foreign countries like Britain and Germany had "spheres of influence" developing along China's coastal areas which further weakened the Qing Dynasty's position.

Why do you think gladiatorial contests and public games were so popular among ancient Romans?
tatuchka [14]

Personally, I think it's because it was simple and free entertainment. Given that there wasn't a taboo around death and watching others die, and it actually being encouraged, like how it was in Anciient Rome, I'd say a lot of people would actually at least try out visiting a gladiatorial contest.

As a developing country reaches the status of industrialized, what happens to the birth rate? It decreases. It mirrors the death
Tanzania [10]

The correct answer is "It decreases". Numerous studies report that birth rate are higher in developing countries in comparison to developed countries. Once a developing country reaches the status of industrialized it is very likely that the birth rate would decrease. Two factors that explain the high birth rates in developing countries are the lack of access to contraceptives and, generally lower levels of education respect to developed countries.

Which extreme sport developed into a sport practiced by Polynesian chiefs?
Paul [167]
The art of surfing was first observed by Europeans in 1777, by the crewmembers of the Dolphin at Tahiti; however, surfing was a central part of ancient Polynesian culture and predates European contact. The chief was the most skilled wave rider in the community with the best board made from the best tree. The ruling class had the best beaches and the best boards, and the commoners were not allowed on the same beaches, but they could gain prestige by their ability to ride the surf on their extremely heavy boards. When the missionaries from Scotland and Germany arrived in 1821, they forbade or discouraged many Polynesian traditions and cultural practices, including, on Hawaii, leisure sports such as surfing and holua sledding. By the 20th century, surfing, along with other traditional practices, had all but disappeared. Only a small number of Hawaiians continued to practice the sport and the art of crafting boards.hope this helps?
