Which theme is conveyed in this excerpt from "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe? TRUE!—nervous—very, very dreadfully nervo

us I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad? The disease had sharpened my senses—not destroyed—not dulled them. Above all was the sense of hearing acute. I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? Hearken! and observe how healthily—how calmly I can tell you the whole story. It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but once conceived, it haunted me day and night. Object there was none. Passion there was none. I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture—a pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees—very gradually—I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever. The insane have no sense of time. The insane are obsessed with mortality. The insane are incapable of using deception. The insane lack imagination. The insane live in a reality of their own.

I would say the correct answer is that the insane live in a reality of their own.
The protagonist of the story wasn't always insane; however, over time, he grew mad because of his landlord's eye of a vulture. He began seeing things, thinking that the eye made him do crazy things, such as kill the old man. After that, this mad man kept hearing the dead man's heart beating, which is how he revealed his crime to the policemen who came to the house to investigate.

The author's use of repetition in Paragraph 12 and 21 emphasis that how Rachel feels about her birthday.

Explanation:

'Eleven' is a short story written by Sandra Cisneros. The story is about a young girl named Rachel, who's turned eleven. On her eleventh birthday, she had bad experience in Maths class, when Mrs Price forced Rachel to wear a sweater not owned by her but someone else.

In Paragraph 12 and Paragraph 21, Rachel repeats the fact that her mother is making her birthday cake that night and when her father would be home, they will cut the cake and sing birthday melody. The repetition used by the author emphasizes that how Rachel feels about her birthday, which is being ruined by one of her class teacher. This repetition also gives an insight into Rachel's mind.

Write a letter to your friend tell him/her how you gained admission in to the<br> university
yan [13]

Answer:

Explanation:

Dear friend,

I am writing to you today to explain to you my sure-fire method of getting into your university of choice. When you ask this question to the average person they'll say things like, "get good grades, be involved in your extra carricular, and do lots of volunteer work." This, to anyone who knows what they're talking about, is undeniably false. The way to gain admission to a university is to suck off the admissions director.
