The carrying capacity can be defined as the ability of an area to sustain a size of population for a long period of time. However, the limiting factors are those which limit the excessive growth of the population beyond the carrying capacity.  The carrying capacity of an area is determined by the limiting factors, such as availability of space, food etc. When the population is increased beyond the carrying capacity, it negatively impacts the whole.

Carrying capacity is the amount of life (i.e, population) a specific area can reasonably sustain over a long period of time. Limiting factors are those factors that affect whether or not a population grows or decline. A population can temporarily exceed the carrying capacity, but there will be negative effects iF the population is not reduced.

For example, think of an elevator. The carrying capacity of a particular elevator might be 10 people. The carrying capacity is limited in this instance by lack of available space; and also probably weight limit. You may be able to squeeze more than 10 people into an elevator for a brief amount of time, but the result will be overcrowding, feelings of grouchiness, and possibly too much strain on the mechanisms that keep the elevator from falling.

If CO2 was in very small amounts then it would be the limiting factor of photosynthesis, this means the process will take place at a much slower rate because it is lacking one of the raw materials it needs for the process to occur. To find the optimum light intensity you really need all other factors to be at optimum levels or in abundance.

But these two theories cannot be directly related to the muscle growth in humans as the development and growth of muscles are dependent upon several factors like diet, any kind of disease which restrict the muscle growth and movement, physical activities, mineral availability responsible for growth, malnutrition, and others.

Species evolve independently possibly due to geographical isolations or behavioural isolations.

Geographical isolation includes the isolation of 2 groups of the same species. Since these 2 groups live in different locations, (e.g. a volcanic eruption resulting in a barrier between one side of an ocean and another side of the ocean), they will have different selection pressures in their different environments as well (e.g. one side of the ocean may have more sunlight and thus more underwater plantations than the other side of the ocean). Natural selection will eliminate those with disadvantageous characteristics (e.g. Fishes that only eat plants and nothing else on the side of the ocean with little plantations) with unfavourable alleles, and select for those with advantageous characteristics (e.g. Fishes are able to eat plants and other organic substances as well on the side of the ocean with little plantations) with favourable alleles.

Since the 2 groups have different selection pressures, natural selection will occur in different ways, selecting for and against different types of fishes with different types of alleles. Also, because of the barrier, they are not able to mate with each other, and there are no mixing of genes from one side of the ocean and the other side. They are genetically isolated. As genetic drift occurs over time, their gene pools become different from each other. Thus, they evolve independently.
