Why would you generally use the active voice instead of passive voice in your writing?​

i think the active voice is more direct and forceful. The active would seem to point out really the meaning of the text. Also, it would sound like the the writer really wants to impart something to the reader. An active voice adds an impact and be direct. But a passive voice reverses the word in order to make the object and the action come first. Passive sentences usually have more words than active ones, which is one reason the reader has to work harder to get at the meaning.The sentence structure can also seem unwieldy because it's not immediately obvious who is performing the action. This is sometimes done on purpose, perhaps to avoid assigning blame or in cases where it's not clear who did something.
