All are tied up to a revolution that provided the lower class people new grounds to stand on. In the mist of the revolutions a sense of national pride is common place.
b. Influencing public opinion and forming political action committees
Interests groups form around an issue they want legal action taken. They will use marketing methods to influence public opinion through media and campaigning. If they form a political action committee then they will back political candidates and possibly provide money for a political candidate's campaign. Interest groups in the US include AARP, Family Research Council, and the NAACP.
<span>One economic result of the draft during WWI was a dramatic decrease in the unemployment rate. In the United States the unemployment rate stood at 7.9% in 1914 prior to the beginning of the draft and dropped six and a half points to 1.4% by 1918. This large shift in unemployment, along with the shift in demand caused by moving the economy to a war footing, showed that government activity could have a great impact on macroeconomic conditions.</span>
