The psychological principle that the results of Solomon Asch’s experiment supported was the <em>conformity principle</em>. Solomon found that 75% of participants gave wrong answers in a very simple task because they wanted to conform with the other participants of the group. The other 25% of the participants never conformed. Solomon also found that the participants gave the wrong answer because they wanted to fit in and because they thought the group knew better.
