As I wrote elsewhere: The doctrine of selective incorporation refers to the Courts applying the Bill of Rights selectively to the States. As time has progressed, more of the rights have applied to the State governments. This is important as when the Bill of Rights were written, they were only a check on the Federal Government. Over time, though, they have been applied to the States as well.

The Massachusetts colony got a boost from the arrival of ____ in 1629.
shusha [124]

Answer:

The Massachusetts colony got a boost from the arrival of Puritans in 1629.

Explanation:

Between 1630 and 1640, Massachusetts saw the arrival of over 13,000 families that were under exodus to Massachusetts, This was known as the great migration.

The puritans migrated in order to settle and practice their own version of Protestantism without interference.

Puritan's were those people who were not contented with the way the roman catholic church practiced its beliefs, they therefore sought to purify the church.

With the arrival of this population, the Massachusetts colony got a boost, that is in terms of labor force from the new arrivals.
