All the Aztecs preferred Nanahuatzin over Tecuciztecatl. However, the Nanahuatzin was the first one to jump, followed by Tecuciztecatl, a brave eagle and then the jaguar. The gods observed two suns being raised. Tecuciztecatl was dimmed by the gods to be the moon. Nanahuatzin received the blood from the gods to get energy as he was too weak to rush across the sky. This was defined as the new world, the current world.
