When would a case go straight to the Supreme Court skipping all the levels??
White raven [17]

Answer:

When there's dispute among states with no other federal court to rule over it.

Explanation:

Original jurisdiction means the Supreme Court can hear a case that's come to it directly, without the matter having gone through rulings and appeals in a lower court. This can involve a dispute between states, with no other federal court having jurisdiction over the case. Those matters, however, are pretty rare.

One significant example is New Jersey v. New York, a case from the court's 1998 term. The Garden State sued the Empire State in the Supreme Court over jurisdiction of Ellis Island's artificially expanded landmass, an issue dating to the 19th century.

What are 4 facts about the Cold War?
defon

1. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union detonated the largest nuclear weapon the world had ever seen. The Soviet Union detonated its first atomic bomb on August 29, 1949, at the Semipalatinsk Test Site in Kazakhstan. The event ended America's monopoly on atomic weaponry and launched the Cold War.

2. As World War II was ending, the Cold War began. This was to be a long lasting and continuing confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States, lasting from 1945 to 1989. It was called the Cold War because neither the Soviet Union nor the United States officially declared war on each other.

3. Russian historians believe that Churchill and Truman are the ones responsible for starting the conflict aimed at destroying the US These differences caused the mounting tension between the Soviet Union and the west at the end of World War II.

4. The U.S. and the U.S.S.R. fought the Cold War for 45 years. It consisted of covert action, proxy wars and a nearly-complete polarization between the two sides among the rest of the world. In 1991, the U.S.S.R collapsed suddenly and completely, becoming a number of independent countries and the Russian Federation.

Hope this helps!

Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

The Five Pillars of Islam according to Sunni and Shia Muslims are explained below in details.

Explanation:

The five pillars – the expression of faith, praise, alms-giving, fasting, and journey – compose the basic standards of Islamic custom. They are believed by Muslims globally irrespective of ethnic, territorial, or denominational differences.

The primary distinction in the application comes in that Sunni Muslims largely rely on the Sunnah, an account of the education and proverbs of the Prophet to conduct their actions while the Shiites more gradually on their ayatollahs, whom they view as a symbol of God on earth.
