A  cell is a a small, functional organism.

Cell's are  microscopic, meaning that there not visable to the human eye.(Unless you are using a microscope.)

Most microscopic organisms have one cell. Which are either eukaryotic or prokaryotic.

Microscopic organism's normaly consistsof a cytoplasm and a nucleus enclosed in a membrane.

Also a cell, is the smallest unit of life

I hope this help's you understand the definition of a cell.

The process of osmosis explains what happened to the cells.

Osmosis is where water molecules will flow from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower water potential, through a partially permeable membrane. Red blood cell is a human cell and have a partially permeable membrane. At the same time, pure water has the highest water potential among all substances, and of course higher than the cytoplasm of the red blood cell, therefore, water molecules will flow from the water to the red blood cell.

So much water has flown to the red blood cells that the cell membrane cannot hold all and eventually the cell bursts. Therefore, the process of osmosis explains this result.

Solar energy is a form of renewable energy, namely energy that cannot be depleted. Other forms of energy like carbon based sources of energy cannot be renewed in a reasonable span after being used (forests take time to grow and oil is created in geological timescales). Joe is trying to deal with the phenomenon of resource depletion. The way he goes about it is making a renewable source of energy more efficient and usable.

Which of the following mutations could result in a truncated protein? Choose all that apply. Which of the following mutations co
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

A truncated protein refers to a protein that gets shortened due to a mutation, which does not allow the process of translation to take place properly. The formation of a truncated protein can take place due to a frameshift mutation of one or two base pairs. In such kind of mutation, a single or two base pairs get withdrawn from the sequence resulting in the formation of a completely changed triplicate codon sequence, which may result in the generation of a truncated protein comprising a different set of amino acids.

A nonsense mutation can also result in the formation of a truncated protein. A nonsense mutation generally codes for certain kinds of amino acid, however, post mutation can get converted into a stop codon. This transformation can result in the formation of a truncated protein.

Deletion or insertion at the chromosomal level can also result in the formation of a truncated protein. As insertion and deletion of a certain concentration of DNA can probably lead to the formation of a novel codon that can either be a nonsense codon or a stop codon, which may eventually result in the formation of a truncated protein.

Hence, the correct answers are statements 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th
