Jefferson argues that civil judges cannot render opinions about the beliefs of others because of what tendency?

History

Because of the tendency to prefer their own beliefs.

Thomas Jefferson often argued vehemently for the freedom of belief as a freedom all individuals should enjoy.  If judges were to make rulings about the beliefs of others, that would be a confusing of religious and civil spheres.  Jefferson drafted a bill regarding freedom of religious belief in 1777 ... and his views ultimately were enacted into law in 1786.  In his Statute of Religious Freedom, Jefferson wrote:

"<em>Our civil rights have no dependence on our religious opinions, any more than our opinions in physics or geometry. ... To allow the civil magistrate to intrude his powers into the field of opinion, and to restrain the profession or propagation of principles on supposition of their ill tendency, is a dangerous fallacy, which at once destroys all religious liberty, because he being of course judge of the tendency will make his opinions the rule of judgment; and approve or condemn the sentiments of others only as they shall square with or differ from his own."</em>

What best characterizes the role of Native Americans in the French and Indian War?
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

Right choice:

They fought on both sides of the conflict, but most allied with the British.

Explanation:

The Native American tribes sided with both sides, mainly for benefits in trade and other advantages, though they did not share the imperial goals and feelings of their allies. In Canada, the Iroquois supported the British side, while the Huron Confederacy sided with the French, with whom they had had a good trade exchange since the 17th century. Another factors was the deep rivalry with the Iroquois.

In the American territory, most tribes chose the British side. It was because of the regular trade benefits. Native tribes had assimilated many European manufactured goods in their lifestyle, and some items had even a symbolic importance for chiefs and their policies of alliances. The British supply of such goods was more reliable than the French line of supply.

Harthal refers to strikes in workplaces where the workplace is closed by striking employees. Satyagraha is non-violent protest which what Gandhi used. I means insistence of the truth.

Although Nehru and Gandhi were always together there were times when they were at odds with each other.  The Salt March was one example because Nehru had doubts but when he saw the potential of it, he changed his mind.  Another was when he demanded a complete separation from the British and this was rejected by Gandhi.

how has the time period in which oedipus the king has written affects the themes. what beliefs were changing or shifting
raketka [301]
The main themes of the play are: fate and free will with the inevitability of oracular predictions is a theme that often occurs in Greek tragedies the conflict between the individual and the state similar to that in Sophocles’ “Antigone” and  people’s willingness to ignore painful truths both Oedipus and Jocasta clutch at unlikely details in order to avoiding facing up to the inceasingly apparent truth and sight and blindness the irony that the blind seer Tiresius can actually “see” more clearly than the supposedly clear-eyed Oedipus<span>, who is in reality blind to the truth about his origins and his inadvertent crimes.
