Answer:

The answer is D. The wind

Explanation:

This is because everything in the paragraph remained the same before the wind blew. Before the wind, she just stood in the sidewalk, she also felt stuck in her life, her priority then was to cross the street.

After the wind blew, her thought process changed.

At that point it was no longer trying to cross the street that was her priority, neither was her stuck career her thought. Rather, her direction changed to first gather the papers. Then, her thought was wondering where they may lead.

The wind brought about the change in the paragraph.

In at least 150 words, explain how and why Miller crafted The Crucible as an allegory.
Gnesinka [82]

Arthur Miller crafted The Crucible as an allegory by basing his characters off of real people that went through the Salem Witch Trials. Arthur Miller was called in during the Red Scare and was asked if he ever knew any Communists that threatened America. Miller felt attacked and wrote The Crucible to show how he saw the whole incident. He compared the experience to the court cases in the Witch Trials in which people were forced to betray their friends and family.

If that isn't enough, or what you are looking for, you can finish it, but I have to go so that's all I have right now.
