So, the poem depicted hatred for the father. In lines 1-4 the poet compares herself to a foot that was stuck in her father's black shoe. She makes use of this imagery to imply and explain how she has been crushed by her father emotionally for 30 years.

2. She married a man who was just like her father. She termed the man - a vampire who made her to suffer for seven years. The man brought back the memories of what she passed through in the hands of her father.
