The basilica was typically placed at the apse. This was the location in which the elders and clergy led their services. The altar was placed at the eastern end of the construction and the apse typically has a semicircular shape.

Answer:

 • at the apse.

Explanation:

This is an architectural concept. The notion allows to name the semicircular and domed sector of a temple that allows the installation of the presbytery and the altar. The apse, of polygonal or semicircular plan, is in the head of the church. Its origins date back to the Roman Empire. Then, in the basilicas, it began to be called apse to the space with seats, where the magistrate's chair was installed in front of the altar.

What did catholics cite to defend using religious icons and images in their art?
professor190 [17]

Answer:

"The incarnation of Jesus"

Explanation:

in other words, the argument was that Jesus, one of the members of the trinity, was "made of flesh and bone" and therefore could be painted, unlike the other parts of the trinity which are argued to be "of the spirit"

in other words, if I may be so brash in my wording, people were more or less like

"you can't draw what you can't see!"

and the catholic church was like

"BUT YOU CAN SEE JESUS, HE HAS A BODY"

(sorry but I just found the simplified argument a bit funny, I'm sitting here imagining my siblings arguing about if ghosts are real again...)

Musical connotation happens when music is associated with extra-musical events or experiences. True or false?.
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Musical connotation happens when music is associated with extra-musical events or experiences. This statement is true.

Music stimulates the brain, relieves pain, and reduces stress and memory. A Harvard study found that relaxing music can lower blood pressure and heart rate after exercise. 1: Sound arrangements using classical music melodies, rhythms, and normal harmonies. 2: The art of creating pleasing and expressive combinations of tones, especially using melody, rhythm, and usually harmony. I want to study music at university.

People used different sounds to express fear and happiness. These sounds, along with some sounds heard from animals such as B. birdsong, may have led them to make music. When humans first started using tools, it is possible that they did so in rhythms or regular patterns, such as beating grain.
