it goes there because it  wouldnt go at the end of a sentance a period would , at it wouldnt go at the beginning cuz thats were the senctance starts.   so whenever ur in a sit uation like this again try to find a good spot somewhere close to the middle but it also depends how long the sentance is.   hope i helped!
