Metaphor: King compares injustice and oppression to sweltering heat and freedom and justice to an oasis.

King repeats the sweltering heat metaphor toward the end of the speech, referring specifically to Mississippi, a state where some of the worst offenses against blacks had been carried out. By specifying states in the south (he also mentions Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and the South in general) and mentioning the oasis that awaits even these places, King magnifies his message of hope to those suffering the most.

Which assertion would be easiest to objectively verify?
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

A.The trees are in the ideal spot to create shade.

Explanation:

The assertion that would be easiest to objectively verify is that trees are in the ideal spot to create shade. This is because of how readily available trees are in order to confirm the statement .

The other options such as The lawn will be beautiful by next summer and The yard will be the envy of the neighborhood are not readily accessible and verifiable.
