Why do all enzymatic reactions need activation energy? Why do all enzymatic reactions need activation energy? Energy is required

by an enzyme so that it can be reused. Energy is needed for the enzyme to find its substrate. Energy is required to disrupt a substrate’s stable electron configuration. Energy allows only the substrate to bind.

Answer:

Energy is required to disrupt a substrate’s stable electron configuration.

Explanation:

Activation energy is the energy required to initiate the chemical reaction. Activation energy is always kinetic energy. Activation energy is used to break the existing bonds of the substrate to destabilize it.

Breaking of existing bonds of the substrates creates a transition state which in turn has higher free energy than both reactants and products. Once the transition state is formed, the reaction proceeds towards the formation of the product.

Enzymes serve to lower down the activation energy for the reaction and thereby allow the reaction to occurs at a higher rate even at a normal temperature.

Answer:

In order to reach equilibrium, water will move outside the cell to reach equilibrium. A cell tends to lose or gain water in order to reach equilibrium.

If there are more number of solutes outside the cell, then the water will move out of the cell in order to maintain equilibrium. On the other hand, if there are more number of solutes inside the cell then the water will move inside the cell to maintain equilibrium.
